Locks of Love

Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children across the U.S. under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss.

Locks of Love meets a unique need for children throughout the United States by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses we provide help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers.

Creations Salon and Body participates in the Locks for Love program. When you come in and donate more than 10 inches of hair you will receive a free wash and cut.

Keeping Hair Looking Hot in the Cold

It's important to keep all hair types well moisturized to protect against colder temperatures. Basically all hair types (including curly, fine, and frizzy) require a conditioning treatment after shampooing, a heat-protection styling product before blow drying, and a finishing spray after styling. The process can help keep hair shiny, smooth, and bouncy. Finer hair types may do better with a light, leave-in conditioner to help protect fragile ends without weighing down hair. If your hair is frizzy, definitely consider using a leave-in conditioner and a deep-moisturizing treatment should be used twice a week.

Bibo Salon Tips

Q. Is Bibo mascara waterproof?

A. No, but it wears all day without smudging or flaking.

Q. What shade mascara should I use?

A. The most important thing when choosing a shade is to first look at how dark your natural lashes are. If you have very light lashes, either blonde or red, Black/Brown is for you. If your lashes are brown or deeper, than choose Black.
