Protect Your Hair this Summer!

Summer should be all fun and games but if your hair turnsgreenish after going in the pool, you may not be too happy! Don't worry we can help you swim carefree! If you have blonde colored hair, the chlorinated water can make your hair turn greenish, which certainly isn't a pretty sight.

Before heading into the pool treat your hair with products that protect your hair from the chlorine.

Wet your hair under the shower and coat your hair with a special leave-in UV conditioner. This will act as a barrier against both chlorine and harmful UV sun rays.

After swimming always rinse your hair with clean water to remove any chlorine residue. Next wash your hair with a shampoo formulated to remove chlorine such as Matrix Essentials Alternate Action Shampoo.

Kids Cuts Tips

• Let your child watch you getting your hair cut. This will show them that getting your hair cut does not hurt.
• If you have a younger child let them sit on your lap when getting there hair cut. That way they won't be scared because you are right there with them.
• Wash your child's hair before coming to the salon. This way they will just hop in the chair and the cutting will begin.
• Try to make your appointment at a time that doesn't interfere with nap time or feeding time.
• Show up a few minutes before your appointment time so your child can become familiar with the salon surroundings.
• Make a trip to salon a fun experience. Take your child out to lunch first or to a movie.
